This practical two day course provides attendees with the opportunity to become familiar with ultrasound and its incorporation into clinical practice through hands-on sessions complemented by practical lectures and case studies. This course covers basic ultrasound physics, knobology, scanning techniques, image optimization and acquisition, fundamental abdominal ultrasound, and an introduction into common pathology. Hands on scanning will be focused on reinforcing didactic content along with recognizing normal tissue and the concept of edge-to-edge evaluation of abdominal organs.
